On Dec. 1, the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and the Drexel University Film and Video Department hosted a free screening of the upcoming movie, "Youth in Revolt," at the Bossone Auditorium for Drexel students. The event began with an introduction to the film and a Q&A session with the movie's stars, Michael Cera and Portia Doubleday.

The Bossone Auditorium was filled to capacity with fans trying to get a glimpse of the young actors.

They were also given the chance to ask questions to the stars about the movie, what their favorite roles were, and how they got into the business.

"I think I've always wanted to be an actor, ever since I was young," Cera explained. Of his inspiration, Cera elaborated. "I loved Bill Murray. I loved Ghostbusters and always talked about [being an actor] when I was younger. I went and did things like play games with other [actors]. Improv games."

They crowd also got to ask about the status of the much talked about "Arrested Development" movie.

"I don't know really," Cera admitted. "There is nothing written or planned but hopefully we can shoot that sometime next year."

Twenty-one-year-old Cera is an up-and-coming actor best known for his starring role in "Superbad" alongside Jonah Hill, as well as one of his first big breaks as George Michael Bluth on the TV show "Arrested Development." Doubleday, however, is new to the Hollywood scene. Having grown up in L.A., she started acting in commercials when she was young and finally has her first major film role with "Youth in Revolt," where she gets to star alongside stars such as Ray Liotta and Steve Buscemi. Though she is still in school, she can't deny her desire to perform.

"I'd love to continue. It's been an amazing ride," Doubleday spoke about being cast in this role, as well as the future of her career. "I just got to a point where I had a void in my life. I was lucky enough to audition for this and get the part."

"Youth in Revolt" is based on the book "Youth in Revolt: the Journals of Nick Twisp" by C.D. Payne. The story follows Nick Twisp, a cynical boy with divorced parents. In order to be with the girl he has fallen in love with, Sheeni Saunders, he is forced to create an alter ego named François that gets him into some major problems. Though the book was published in 1993, Cera was a fan before being cast and was excited to be cast as Twisp.

"I was a big fan of the book. I had read it a few times, but I did go back and reread it for inspiration," Cera said.

"Youth in Revolt" opens nationwide Jan. 8.

It must have been really cool to have the opportunity to ask them some questions. Their new movie looks like it will be worth watching.
