Drexel University's undergraduate student government organization filled four vacant positions Nov. 9.

The four positions include commuter, student organization, residential, and co-op representatives.

Students on campus seem to generally be relieved about the vacant positions finally being filled. "I expect them to make life a little bit easier for Drexel students," Andrew Ngo, a sophomore majoring in computer engineering, said.

Multiple candidates applied and were considered for the position before a select few were chosen.

Robert Kudart was appointed commuter representative, Jason Clarke was appointed student organization representative, Olivia McDonnell was appointed residential representative, and Zoha Amhed was appointed co-op representative.

The four appointments were issued after an interview process.

Students responded positively after hearing about the students who were appointed to the numerous positions.

"Jason Clarke is an excellent representative for the USGA. He has skills in all aspects of business and socialization. He can carry any organization on his shoulders ... and does." Shaun Cerborino, a sophomore majoring in screenwrting, said.

"I believe that these new members will do a great job. They had an impressive résumé … and … are well qualified to be representing their Drexel Students. The USGA wishes them all the best … for the remainder of this year," Sean Murphy, vice president of the USGA, said.
