The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

October 19, 2009

THEFT FROM BUILDING

12:40 p.m. Hagerty Library

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s took her purse which was left unattended in a work space.

THEFT FROM BUILDING

11:50 a.m. Daskalakis Athletic Center

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s removed $25.00 from his wallet that was left unsecured in a locker.

October 20, 2009

THEFT FROM VEHICLE

7:30 a.m. 3400 Block of Pearl St.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s broke the left front window of his vehicle and took a GPS and radio receiver that were in plain view.

7:30 a.m. 3400 Block of Powelton Ave.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s broke the left front window of her vehicle and took a GPS charger that was left in plain view.

THEFT FROM BUILDING

TIme Not Reported Creese Center

A Drexel employee reported that between June and Sept. 26 several items of electronic equipment were taken from a closet without any sign of force.

THEFT FROM BUILDING

6:30 p.m. 3100 Block of Market St.

A non-Drexel affiliate reported to Philadelphia Police that between 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., unknown person/s took an envelope containing personal checks and cash that was left unattended in his unlocked desk in a non-Drexel owned building.

October 21, 2009

THEFT FROM BUILDING

Time Not Reported 219 N. Broad St. ­- College of Medicine

A Drexel employee reported that between Oct. 1 and Oct. 21, unknown person/s took keys to a medicine closet from her desk drawer that was left unlocked.

October 22, 2009

VANDALISM

7:45 a.m. 100 Block of N. 35th St.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s broke the back window of his vehicle.



A NOTE FROM PUBLIC SAFETY

POLICY VIOLATION - ALCOHOL

During the period covered by this report there were two alcohol related policy violations. The students involved were transported by Fire Medics to the hospital for treatment and all of the incidents were forwarded to the Office of Student Conduct.



POLICY VIOLATION - DRUGS

During this period there was one policy violation for drugs reported in a Residence Hall. An illegal substance and paraphernalia were recovered. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
