The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

September 30, 2009

BURGLARY

8 a.m. 3300 Block of Hamilton St.

A non-Drexel affiliate reported to Philadelphia Police that unknown person/s entered her residence without any sign of force and took a microwave.

October 2, 2009

THEFT

1:15 p.m. 3200 Block of Powelton Ave.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s took his backpack that was left unattended on the front porch.

October 3, 2009

VANDALISM

1:45 p.m. 3500 Block of Baring St.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s broke the right front window to his vehicle and ransacked the interior. Nothing was taken.

October 5, 2009

THEFT FROM BUILDING

9 a.m. Daskalakis Athletic Center

A Drexel employee reported that between 5 p.m., Oct. 2 and 9 a.m., Oct. 5, unknown person/s took a computer mouse from the top of a desk in an unsecured office.

VEHICLE THEFT

5:15 a.m. Unit Block of N. 34th St.

A non-Drexel affiliate reported to Philadelphia Police that between 9:45 p.m., Oct. 4, and 5:15 a.m., Oct. 5, unknown person/s took her 1999 Ford Contour.

VANDALISM

8 a.m. 3400 Block of Race St.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s knocked the driver's side mirror off of her vehicle.

10 a.m. 3400 Block of Race St.

Another Drexel student reported that unknown person/s knocked the driver's side mirror off of her vehicle.

October 7, 2009

THEFT FROM BUILDING

1 p.m. Stratton Hall

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s took her bag that contained her laptop and personal items from a lab room where the bag was left unsecured.

October 8, 2009

BICYCLE THEFT

2 p.m. 3100 Block of Market St.

A Drexel student reported that unknown person/s took his bike that was secured to a bike rack with a combination lock.

October 10, 2009

VANDALISM

12:15 a.m. 3200 Block of Hamilton St.

A report was received that three males had knocked down a stop sign. Upon arrival, the sign was knocked down and the males had fled the area.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE

8 p.m. 3500 Block of Lancaster Ave.

A non-Drexel affiliate reported that unknown person/s broke the left front window to his vehicle and took a GPS that was in plain view on the dashboard.
