Men's lacrosse head coach Brian Voelker has filled out his coaching staff for the 2010 season, naming Conor Ford and Chris Collins as assistant coaches.
"Conor and Chris should be excellent additions to our program," Voelker said. "Both have had success as players and coaches at a high level and we look forward to continuing that this season at Drexel."
Ford was an assistant for three seasons at Penn under Voelker prior to coming to Drexel. He guided the offense and had three All-Ivy League selections during his tenure, as well as one player named Honorable Mention All-American.
Ford enjoyed an illustrious career collegiately at Johns Hopkins. He tallied 44 goals as a senior, the 10th highest total in program history. He is tied for 13th in program history with 101 goals for his career.
Collins had been with Delaware for the previous four seasons. He served as a goalie coach and offensive assistant during his tenure. Collins also played collegiately in goal for the Blue Hens for three seasons and was a two-time All-CAA pick.
Ford and Collins take over for Greg Raymond and Steven Brundage. Raymond followed former head coach Chris Bates to Princeton.
The Drexel men's lacrosse team finished up its 2008 season with a 7-8 record.
The Dragons subsequently lost Bates, who resigned from his position at Drexel to become the head coach of the Tigers.
Voelker was named Drexel men's lacrosse head coach July 3.
