Phillip Terranova, vice president of University Relations, said this is Witt/Kieffer's first partnership with Drexel, but the firm has worked with "local peers," specifically Saint Joseph's University and Rowan University.
Drexel will hold open forums Aug. 28 on the main Center City campuses, where Richard Greenawalt, chairman of the Drexel Board of Trustees, and Witt/Kieffer representatives will be available for questions.
"The forums are designed both to provide information to the University community and to give students, faculty and staff the opportunity to share their priorities for the presidential search," Terranova said. "The search committee and Witt/Kieffer will take into account what they learn going forward in the search process."
In an e-mail to students, Interim President C.R. "Chuck" Pennoni said the forums offer students a chance to learn about the search process and the search committee's progress so far.
"This is an opportunity for you … to offer your input on the attributes and leadership priorities you consider most important for Drexel's next president," Pennoni stated.
Currently, the Drexel Presidential Search Web site offers a timeline of the search process. The position is projected to be advertised nationally between October and December, with candidates being interviewed in January and February 2010. The new president will be selected in spring 2010.
