The endless Drexel school year has finally come to an end.

Finals are here and most of us are packed and ready to leave campus. Vacations have been planned and flights are booked. Most of us will be back in classes in a matter of months or by the end of June. But for our senior class of 2009, the end of its undergraduate journey is coming to an end.

For those of you who are entering a locked job market, never lose hope. For those of you who are going to grad school, law school or medical school, study hard. For those of you who are taking some time off, enjoy yourself. For those of you who have had an amazing college experience, take it with you and hold onto the memories and lessons forever. For those of you who didn't enjoy your stay here, look to the future for something better.

There's no more childhood left. We've departed. As adults, we will be expected to be a walking representation of the education that we have earned. We have forged our identities in the past four-to-five years - and Drexel's class of 2009 is ready to change the world.

However, think of the ways you've been prepared for even an economy as tough as the one we now face - through co-op and a "real world" experience at Drexel, we are nevertheless more prepared than other students with whom we will be competing. We have experience others envy, and companies on our resumes that resonate throughout the region, country and even globe. Think about this and keep forging forward.

Take everything you've learned, on campus or off, in classes or not, and live by it. Don't just be intelligent, be kind. Take a chance because for the first time in your life, you have freedom to do anything you want. You are no longer confined to the classroom. Make the most of your opportunities, be everything that you have been taught to be, and good luck on the next part of your journey.
