I will say this though - if he is keeping illegal substances in the room, he is putting you at risk. Not only could you potentially take one of his pills mistaking it for Advil but if found, you both could be kicked out for having illegal substances in the dorms (I'm assuming you live in the dorms. My girlfriend and I have been dating a few years and I think it's time to move on, but she definitely doesn't feel the same way. How should I approach breaking up with her without really hurting her?
Breaking up without heartache would seem to be an urban dating legend, especially since you have been together for a long time. That does not mean you can't have a somewhat happy ending. You are going to hurt her. The idea is to hurt her as little as possible. The best way you can do this is by, go figure, again sit her down and be honest. Express how you feel about her and that you no longer feel the strong connection. Be prepared for tears and soothe her like only you would know how. Be a caring friend if you cannot be a caring boyfriend. Oh, and don't be a possessive jerk (see question one). Good luck!
