The Variety of Indian Cultural Expressions at Drexel will host its 11th annual Access Bollywood show April 18 featuring singing and dancing by Drexel and other local cultural groups, according to Ankur Dadhania, the organization's president.
Dadhania said VOICE's main goal is to attract people who are not a part of the South Asian culture and "show them who we are."
"We've even got a team from Rutgers [University] coming, which is exciting for us because it's the first time we've had a school from outside the Philadelphia area participate in the show," Dadhania said.
Dadhania also said a television network, PanDesi, will film the show to broadcast at a later date.
"This is going to be huge, so we really need the show to be perfect and everything to go right," Dadhania said.
Access Bollywood will be held at Harris Auditorium at the University of Pennsylvania. Dadhania said Drexel venues got booked very quickly, causing VOICE to hold the event off-campus this year. A bus will run from University Crossings to Harris Auditorium for Drexel students.
