Do you ever feel lost? Like you're not sure which direction to take in life? Let's face it - sometimes we need help navigating this crazy thing called college. That's why I'm here. Consider me your third-party, impartial columnist. You have questions, and baby doll, I've got your answers. Or rather, I can provide my spin on things. So sit on down and buckle up, 'cause you're in for a big ol' Sass Attack!
If y'all finding yourself in a hardship, seek me out at entertainment@thetriangle.org. Make sure to put "ADVICE" in the subject line. I got your back, sugar.
I'm a gay man who has been dating guys for a long time now. I was recently out with some friends and I saw this girl. Problem is, I can't get her out of my mind - I think I may like her a lot. Am I going bi?
To be honest, I'm not sure that I see a problem here. Go and ask her out.
Some people may tell you it's wrong - that because you are gay it will not work out between you two. I disagree. Also, as to whether or not you are bi, I cannot answer that. Only you know if you are straight, bisexual or gay. And only you can tell yourself that it will get in the way of going after someone you may have feelings for.
I always thought it was funny that when we label ourselves we end up limiting ourselves. If you forget that label "gay," then you are just a guy who likes a girl. This isn't isolated to you. For any "straight" guy who saw a boy he thought was interested but did not go after it because his sexual orientation, is that not a missed opportunity? Sometimes, I wish we could be more gender blind so that we can see more of the person and potential for something than what is resting between their legs.
I have a job, but I just got a job offer somewhere else. I really like my current position but the other job would look better on a resume. Should I do both or quit my current job?
You have two jobs? I know people that can't land one - very impressive. I think that if you can handle both jobs, do them both. You really enjoy the one and the other could help progress your career. Not to mention, you will get two paychecks a week instead of one! It is like having your cake and eating it too.
