The softball team (15-11, 3-3 CAA) has been riding the bat of junior catcher Ashley Botelho.

She leads the team in batting average with .438, at bats with 80, runs scored with 16, hits with 35, doubles with seven, home runs with five, runs batted in with 25, slugging percentage with .712 and on base percentage with .505.

The Dragons have only played two other CAA teams thus far, but they have also played two CAA double headers against UNC Wilmington and Georgia State.

The girls also went to Delaware for the Delaware State Tournament.

They won the championship game 15-0 over St. Francis after previously losing to them 1-6 earlier in the tournament.

Drexel also defeated Central Connecticut State and Delaware State.

Drexel still has the bulk of its schedule remaining. It has many back-to-back games with CAA rivals as well as a single game against the neighboring University of Pennsylvania.

Its next game is April 4th at conference rival George Mason.

The women's softball hopes to continue its successful season against the Patriots.
