The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

March 11, 2009

ASSAULT/FIREARM

NTA 216 North 34th Street

A Drexel student reported while walking in the 200 block on North 34th street that three black males, all in their early to mid 20's, approached him and one male put a dark color handgun in his side. The complaintant immediately fled and no injuries were reported.

March 12, 2009

BURGLARY

8:45 a.m. 3175 JFK University Crossings

A Drexel student reported that someone entered his unsecured room and took his iPod and digital camera between the hours of 8:45 a.m and 4:45 p.m.

March 14, 2009

ASSAULT

3:15 p.m. 3300 Arch Street

A Drexel student reported he was involved in a verbal dispute and was physically assaulted by a group of 6 to 8 males, described as all in their late teens. The student received minor injuries.

March 15, 2009

BURGLARY

11:00 A.m. North Hall

A Drexel student reported that between 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., unknown person(s) entered her unsecured room and took a 19" flat panel tv.

March 16, 2009

THEFT-QUAD AREA

1:10 a.m. 3200 Market St.

Drexel Police Officers apprehended two males attempting to cut down a Drexel Flag from a pole in the Quad area.

THEFT-FROM BUILDINGS

8:00 p.m. Daskalakis Athletic Center

A Drexel employee reported that between 8:00 p.m. 3/12/09 and 11:00 a.m. 3/13/09 unknown person(s) removed cash and checks from a locked storage cabinet on the first floor of the DAC. There was no sign of forced entry.

March 17, 2009

THEFT-FROM BUILDINGS

11:30 a.m. Hanschumacher DIning Hall

A Drexel student reported that on 3/16/09 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:05 p.m., unknown person(s) took her jacket which was left unattended on a chair. The jacket contained keys and a cell phone.
