'Spring Jam' receives an upgrade

"A lot of the schools in the area, well, their budgets have been cut. Programs aren't running the way they should be, so we're asking for volunteer hours and donations. We're going to be setting up a lot of things coordinated with the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children," Giannascoli said.
Aside from getting Drexel students involved, Rock Your Cause is looking to branch out to other local universities, such as Penn, Temple, West Chester and Villanova, in the near future.
During the week leading up to Spring Jam, CAB will be coordinating events like a film screening of "He's Just Not That Into You," potted plants, tie dying and Drexel's Best Dance Group. And aside from the confirmed musicians, CAB will be holding "Drexel Idol" competitions April 7-9 from 6-8 p.m. in Greenwalt Room C, in the basement of Creese, to determine a student act to participate on the main stage prior to Lupe Fiasco and Girl Talk's performance.
