Do you ever feel lost? Like you're not sure which direction to take in life? Let's face it - sometimes we need help navigating this crazy thing called college. That's why I'm here. Consider me your third-party, impartial columnist. You have questions, and baby doll, I've got your answers. Or rather, I can provide my spin on things. So sit on down and buckle up, 'cause you're in for a big ol' Sass Attack!
If y'all finding yourself in a hardship, seek me out at entertainment@thetriangle.org. Make sure to put "ADVICE" in the subject line. I got your back, sugar.
I have not yet made plans for spring break. None of my friends will be home and I really want to spend some time at the beach. What can I do?
Can I pray that you live in South Beach and would like a sassy beach partner? I'll bring extra tanning lotion.
For those who have not yet made plans to travel over our nine days of paradise, don't fret - there are options. With a quick peek online, I found a three-day stay in Cancun for under $500. Add on a couple hundred for food and transportation around the city and you have a great vacation. The weather is 30 degrees warmer there! Nothing like an amazing sunny beach in a beautiful resort town to melt away those school-day sorrows.
Oh wait, reality check - economic crisis. There are those who can't drop $800 on a dream vacation, so what do they do? My dearest of friends has an interesting alternative: Chris will be driving down to Bethany Beach, Dela. with a handful of friends to stay at his family's vacation home. Total costs will include gas and food and probably be under $100 a person!
Following Chris's example, stay at your family beach house and if your family does not have one, find a friend who does. Gather a group of your besties from Drexel and drive on down to a more localized shore. Worst-case scenario: if you can't get a house, just drive down for the day. Granted the temperatures are going to be closer to 60 degrees anywhere near here, but that's a sauna compared to what we've had recently. Come back with a faux spray on tan and plenty of fun stories of spring break and have fun!
