The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

February 17, 2009

THEFT-FROM BUILDINGS

11:10 a.m. 200 Block of 34th St.

A construction worker reported to DPS that his or her tools, locked up on the ground floor of the construction site, had been stolen and the lock was missing. The tools were valued at about $6,575.

THEFT-BICYCLES

7:13 a.m. Handschumacher Dining Center

A Drexel student reported his bike missing from a bike rack at the Handschumacher Dining Hall. The green Schwinn 10-speed bike, which had been secured by a cable lock, is valued at $100.

VANDALISM

9:07 p.m. University Crossings

DPS received report of a tan Mazda 6 vehicle with its front passenger window smashed. Nothing was missing from the car.

February 18, 2009

LAW VIOLATION-DRUGS

11:23 p.m. Myers Hall

An AD/RD reported the smell of marijuana coming from a student's room at Myers Hall. DPS officers seized a half-filled bag containing a leafy green substance along with a bong and several smoking pipes.

February 19, 2009

THEFT-FROM BUILDINGS

4:14 p.m. W.W. Hagerty Library

A Drexel student reported that an unknown individual had tried to take something out of her bag. The individual fled the scene and was headed west on Market Street.

February 21, 2009

VANDALISM

11:44 a.m. Parking Lot F

A Drexel student reported that the front passenger side window of her car had been broken, and that the car had been ransacked. Nothing had been taken.

ROBBERY

7:05 p.m. 3100 Block of Market St.

A non-Drexel student was robbed at 31st Street subway station. The suspect was caught on the upper platform of 30th Street Station, and was put in a University of Pennsylvania Police car.
