Marianna Uribe, Becca Drylie-Perkins and Charlotte Wood each netted three goals and the Dragons rolled to a 10-6 victory over the Eagles, fending off treacherous weather conditions Feb. 18 at Vidas Field.

It was a complete team effort for Drexel (2-0) as it used pristine ball movement, communication and strong man-to-man defense to defeat the Eagles (0-1).

After falling behind by a goal early in the first half the Dragons scored the next five consecutive goals spanning 11 minutes and cruised from there. Wood got the first three, while Uribe and Lawson each had one during the streak.

Drexel led 5-2 at the end of the first half. Uribe converted on her second of the game to put the Dragons back up by four just 36 into the second. Drylie-Perkins followed with just over a minute later to give Drexel a six-goal cushion.

Drylie-Perkins got her third goal at the 21:57 mark, while Uribe got her hat trick at the 13:22 when she cut through the crease and finished right out in front of the net.

Drexel kicked off its 2009 season with a dramatic 10-9 comeback win against Virginia Tech.

The Dragons will face No. 5 Penn Feb. 21 at Franklin Field at 1 p.m.
