So much for poor out-of-conference play.

Gabriela Marginean scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Dragons to a 57-50 win at Hofstra Jan. 29.

Marginean didn't waste any time getting on the scoreboard, as she counted for 12 of Drexel's first 13 points of the game and helped Drexel win its third straight game.

Even more impressively, Drexel is now in a four-way tie atop the CAA standings with James Madison, Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth, after ODU lost to Georgia State and JMU lost to Towson earlier in the evening.

Jasmina Rosseel and Kamile Nacickaite hit clutch 3-pointers during the last few minutes of the game preventing the Pride from rallying. Since losing 63-58 to St. Joseph's University, Drexel has won seven of its last nine games. The women's basketball team has a sub-par 5-6 out-of-conference record, but has found its rhythm as of late. Drexel plays two more games on the road against UNC Wilmington (Feb. 1) and George Mason (Feb. 5) before returning home for five of its next seven games.
