Do you ever feel lost? Like you're not sure which direction to take in life? Let's face it - sometimes we need help navigating this crazy thing called college. That's why I'm here. Consider me your third-party, impartial columnist. You have questions, and baby doll, I've got your answers. Or rather, I can provide my spin on things. So sit on down and buckle up, 'cause you're in for a big ol' Sass Attack!

If y'all finding yourself in a hardship, seek me out at entertainment@thetriangle.org. Make sure to put "ADVICE" in the subject line. I got your back, sugar.

I'm a gay man who is majorly crushing on this straight guy. Why am I so attracted to straight men, and what can I do about it?

Are you serious? I've always been more attracted to gay men. More often than not, they are stylish, smart, clever, and clean. Straight men make fart jokes. I can understand the attraction though. There are three possibilities that I can conceive.

One: as a man attracted to other men, you want someone who exemplifies that characteristics of manhood. In layman's terms, you want a really macho man. And, who is more macho than a straight man - not always true, by the way!

Two: this is going to make me sound a bit bitchy, but what do I care? Sometimes we are so accustom to being turned down that we crave it. It helps us to believe how pathetic we are - I don't buy it; I think you are worth a million. So, you find someone you know you cannot have, lust after him, and when you don't get your heart's desire, the end result is what you expected - failure. I know this sounds very masochistic, but sometimes when we expect to fail, it lightens the fall. As opposed to getting turned down by someone you honestly think you could have gotten, but didn't (which hurts so much more). See my point?

Third: I'm more inclined to believe this - we can't always help whom we are attracted to. It happens at the oddest times and it's always the oddest of things. Who would have guessed I would like Prada loafers, but they are all I wear on the weekend.
