Three Drexel students were accused of sexually assaulting a Temple student Jan. 24, according to a Public Affairs Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department.

The three males were residents of Calhoun Hall, where the incident reportedly took place.

The allegation is currently being investigated by the Philadelphia Police Department Special Victims Unit in cooperation with the Drexel University Police Department, James Katsaounis, executive director of Communications and Marketing for the Division of Student Life and Administrative Services, wrote in an email.

"At this time, there is no information to report as the PPD is still conducting their investigation," Katsaounis wrote in the email.

A police source confirmed that there was alcohol involved in the situation, and that the incident is still being investigated.

Temple police were not willing to release any information on the case.
