The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.
December 1, 2008
THEFT FROM BUILDINGS
2:12 p.m. Rush Building
A Drexel employee reported that a a black male between the ages of 16 and 18 was taking a wallet out of her bag. The employee stopped and questioned the individual, who then left the room.
December 3, 2008
THEFT FROM BUILDINGS
1:59 p.m. MacAlister Hall
DPS received report from a Drexel employee stating that her brown wallet had been stolen out of her purse from the Main Building.
December 4, 2008
THEFT-BICYCLE
10:49 a.m. Myers Hall
A student reported to DPS that his white Mongoose bike, which was locked to the bike rack in front of Myers Hall by a cable, was missing when he returned to school on December 1, after Thanksgiving break.
VANDALISM
12:02 p.m. Friel Field House
A DPS officer discovered vandalism and damage to the softball shed. A yellow rope tied to the fence and two peices of wood slax had been pulled off the front, a small window was broken and the yellow foam cover on the gate was pulled off. Nothing was reported missing.
December 5, 2008
LAW VIOLATION-LIQUOR
1:34 a.m. Towers Hall
A DPS officer was dispatched to Towers Hall after a report of an intoxicated student in the lobby. The student was compliant and coherent and did not require medical attention and was escorted to his room.
December 6, 2008
LAW VIOLATION-LIQUOR
12:38 a.m. Caneris Hall
DPS received report of an intoxicated student in Caneris Hall. The student was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, along with the AD/RA.
LAW VIOLATION-LIQUOR
1:10 a.m. Calhoun Hall
An RA in Calhoun Hall reported an intoxicated student to DPS and requested a medic as the student was not responding to the RA's attempts to awaken her.
