Sass Attack!

Issue date: 11/14/08 Section: Arts & Entertainment
Do you ever feel lost, like you're not sure which direction to take in life? Let's face it; sometimes we need help navigating this crazy thing called college. That's why I'm here. Consider me your third party, impartial columnist. You have questions, and baby doll I got your answers. Or rather, I can provide my spin on things. So sit on down and buckle up, 'cause you're in for a big ole Sassattack!
If y'all finding yourself in a hardship, seek me out at entertainment@thetriangle.org. Make sure to put "ADVICE" in the subject line. I got your back, sugar.
What do I do when someone I like, who is taken, is clearly hitting on me?
STAY AWAY! I am dead serious - this is a bad situation. This person is a no-good cheat. And their poor sweetheart! Imagine how he or she will feel. Honestly, why people cheat is beyond me. We form relationships as a part of life to grow and mature. They should be held with a higher regard, as something sacred, especially since so many other people long for such a bond of their own. And to take advantage of their gift by looking outside and for what they probably already have - what a sin.
If you're not happy in your current relationship, then get out of it and move on! You can't move on first, that's not fair to anyone. To my dear reader, you know this is wrong, but you're interested, if only slightly, otherwise you would not have written in.
Ultimately, the choice is yours. However, I'm going to suggest you lose interest and let them know so. You don't need to tell their current beau about this attraction - that's unnecessary drama and they will find out in their own way. And for those of you with an eye for a piece of side candy, you're quite selfish pricks and society has enough of those, thank you.
Where should I take a first date?
The first few dates are all about getting to know someone, so first and foremost, make it someplace ya'll can talk. Movies, the theater, and concerts are out. This is possibly why dinner is the best option. But make it a good restaurant - someplace where you won't run into everyone you know.
