The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.

October 20, 2008

THEFT FROM BUILDINGS

1:49 p.m. Academic Building

A student reported that his silver Mac Le Pro laptop had been stolen from his classroom from underneath his backpack. Nothing else was taken from him or the room. The laptop had his name and social security number across the front.

THEFT-BICYCLE

3:46 p.m. 3400 Block of Hamilton St.

A Drexel student reported her bike missing from the iron fence in front of Hamilton Street. The bike was a red women's mountain bike with a plastic bag over the seat.

October 21, 2008

VANDALISM

2:31 a.m. 3400 Block of Race St.

DPS found a gold 2001 Nissan Sentra with its front passenger side window broken. A suspect was described by a student who said they had seen the individual breaking the window. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a green jacket and hood.

VANDALISM

11:34 a.m. 3200 Block of Race St.

A Drexel student reported that the front passenger window of his car had been smashed. The glove compartment was opened and there were papers scattered on the floor and seats. Nothing was taken from the car.

THEFT FROM BUILDINGS

4:57 p.m. Ross Commons

A Drexel stduent reported a missing black and gray Targes backpack containing a $900 Dell 1525 laptop and a chemistry lab text book. The items were taken from the second floor of Ross Commons.

October 24, 2008

THEFT

2:17 p.m. Buckley Field

A Drexel student reported that his DragonCard had been taken from his bag, left on a bench at Buckley Field. Four unauthorized transactions made on his card at Northside Deli and Kelly Deli amounting to $95.63. The males identified making the transactions were not authorized by the student.
