The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.
Sept. 1, 2008
VANDALISM
12:56 a.m. 3600 Powelton Ave.
A complainant reported that her Burgundy Honda Civic LX's rear passenger window was broken into. No valuables were taken.

7:52 a.m. 3600 Lancaster Ave.
A Drexel student reported that his driver's side rear window was smashed out. No valuables were taken.
LARCENY-THEFT
7:30 p.m. North Hall
A student reported that his MAC Powerbook G-4 was missing from his room. He received a call from his former friend who said he has the laptop and will not give it back unless the student pays him $75. The student filed a police report with PPD.

LARCENY- THEFT
8:54 a.m. 11th Street Clinic
A DPS officer noticed that a silver Magnavox DVD Player was missing from the lobby. The DVD player is estimated at $100.
Sept. 4, 2008
THEFT FROM BUILDING
8:49 a.m. Hagerty Library
A student reported that his wallet and cell phone were taken from him while he slept at the library between 12:30 a.m. and 2 a.m.

12:52 p.m. Bossone
A Drexel student reported that she left her back pack on her desk and when she returned someone went through her wallet and bag. She stated that the room is only for grad students and there was no one in the room at the time.
THEFT FROM BUILDING
6:51 p.m. Korman Center
A complainant reported that his Gateway computer was stolen from room #209 of Korman. The laptop is property of Drexel.

ROBBERY
7:28 p.m. 3400 Spring Garden St.
A Drexel student stated that three African-American males around 13 to 16 years old approached her and hit her in the face, knocking her down. She stated they took her purse and cell phone along with $40. She could not identify the suspects except for dark clothing.

Why don't some of these students carry a baseball bat or gun and smash some of this trash's heads in?
Why put up with these animals? If I were up there around the "brotherly love", me and my buddies would set up a decoy and wait for an animal to break in, then we'd beat the crap out of them. (Continued…)
