Tip No. 3 states that you should go on a Drexel basketball road trip; however, taking a walk down to the Daskalakis Athletic Center does not constitute a road trip. Frank Elegar, who recently graduated and signed a contract to play basketball in Germany, dominated Delaware last season as he averaged 27.5 ppg and 14.0 rpg over the two games the Dragons faced the Blue Hens in the regular season. Without Elegar, Drexel must find new leaders.

Here is a list of 15 things we recommend you do before graduating from Drexel, or whatever college you end up at if you decide to transfer. These are in no particular order, however, because that would have taken us way too long to organize. Oh, and just a point of information, the Daskalakis Athletic Center is better known as the "DAC."

1. Sit in the DAC Pack section for at least one home game. If you attend enough games, you will understand why "Delaware sucks" even when we're playing Northeastern.

2. Attend a Drexel-Penn men's basketball game at the Palestra and take in all the history on the walls of the concourse. Last year at Penn was the most exciting road win of the season! Unfortunately, we only had two more the rest of the year.

3. Go on a Drexel basketball road trip. You can't count traveling to Delaware as a road trip because Drexel has more fans at the game than the Blue Hens.

4. Join a club sport or form your own intramural team. There's nothing more fun than getting thrown out of a football game by some kid in your English class.

5. Run to the art museum (it's not that far from Drexel) and sprint up the steps to imitate Rocky, the epitome of Philadelphia. If you don't know who Rocky is, you shouldn't be attending college in Philadelphia. Scratch that. You shouldn't be in college period.

6. Tailgate during an Eagles game even if you don't have tickets to get into the Linc. After seven or eight beers, you'll think that your 16-inch television is actually the plasma TV inside the Linc.

Franklin, please tell me that comment was sarcasm... If this is the kind of writing I can expect over the next 5 years, then I certainly won't continue reading. (Continued…)

Angel,

This was intended to be a fun piece that would serve freshmen well and give them a little comic relief in this stressful yet exciting time.

I hope you will re-consider your position and continue reading our stories in the future. (Continued…)

Yeah, Angel, I saw nothing wrong with the writing in this piece. In the time I was at Drexel, I particularly enjoyed articles written by these guys (Mazz/Fisch). (Continued…)

I'd be the first to admit that I'm not the biggest sports fan, but the Mazz/Fisch tandem of writing has given me a much greater appreciation for journalism. (Continued…)
