With an awesome soundtrack and decent graphics, "Chocobo's Dungeon 2" for Wii will keep you occupied for hours.

Very rarely has the Final Fantasy franchise ever created a game that was a disappointment, but one of the worst video games ever created in the franchise was "Chocobo's Dungeon 2" for Playstation.

Even though it was not too terrible of a play, Final Fantasy games are of another breed, and always lend themselves to high expectations. But with themes directed toward a younger audience, could Final Fantasy Fables "Chocobo's Dungeon" improve from its Playstation version enough to be a respectable game?

The story does not include as many mature themes as most Final Fantasy games, but that is to be expected since the main character is a Chocobo. Cid, a treasure hunter, and Chocobo, a yellow bird and mascot of Final Fantasy, magically appear in a peculiar town where various people lose their memory whenever they hear the clock tower bell ring. One day, a boy named Raffaello arrives and tries to restore their memories.

If you are a big fan of RPGs, specifically mystery-dungeon type games, then it is hard not to enjoy "Chocobo's Dungeon." Unlike most RPGs, whenever you take a step, your enemies are able to make a move as well. If you are low on magic or health, both will replenish for every certain amount of steps you take. In addition, you have to pay close attention to your hunger level. If your Chocobo's food level is at a low percentage, then it is important to feed it, or your health quickly runs down.

Do not be fooled by the cute Chocobo face on the cover, because this game is not easy, and you can expect to hit the reset button quite often. Whenever you enter a dungeon, be prepared to have the right equipment and items to escape because if you collapse in a dungeon, you not only lose all your money, but you lose all of your items as well. It is very easy to have full health and have all of your magic, but get surrounded by multiple enemies and be defeated.

Potential problems with these types of games are fighting similar monsters repeatedly. They have the same powers and can get annoying. Luckily, this is a Final Fantasy game. There are several classes from which to choose, including a black mage, white mage, knight, thief, dragon and others. If you get bored of a certain class, your Chocobo can always choose another one with entirely different move sets.
