"I was surprised," Bill, the team's leading goal scorer on the year, said. "I never really thought of myself like that. I got to go to the All-American banquet. I mean that is a really cool honor"
Bill not only led the team with 39 goals and 46 points, but also capped off her career with and handful of honors like ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II Team and Second Team All-CAA, as well as a place among Drexel women's lacrosse all-time leading scorers, tied for ninth on the list with 97 career goals.
"I think I went out there every day and did my best," Bill said. "It's bittersweet; I'm going to want to be out there for fall ball with everyone else. You always want to go back, yeah. There's games that you wish you played better, and goals that you wished you scored, but I wouldn't ever want go back and change everything [overall]."
Bill was happy to discuss her success but admittedly was sad that she would not get to continue her career.
"I am really proud of myself and my teammates," she said. "My class, I think we accomplished a lot, we helped build this program up; I don't think it was where it is now. I still want to be playing yeah, but I think we have done a lot."
Bill manages to maintain an excellent 3.81 grade point average in the five-year business administration program even with her busy lacrosse schedule.
"I live with all athletes, and I'm really organized," Bill said. "I don't know if that helps me get everything done. I'm really driven and competitive and I think that helps me in the classroom as well."
Bill, who will finish up her third co-op at the end of the summer working with KPMG audit, a tax advisory here in Philadelphia, plans to continue working with KPMG full time after graduation next spring.
