A crowd of approximately 25 students, employees and administrators gathered for the event.
One topic that concerned many students at the event was Drexel's dining service.
Barkha Patel, a freshman, inquired as to what the new food options would be.
"Our neighbors, UPenn, have so many options of where to eat," Patel said. "We do not - especially with only one dining hall. ... So, the administration needs to work harder on providing more options for dining services,"
One new dining facility now offered is 3141 Café, which opened April 29 in the Main Building. Drexel is hoping to add more dining options in the future as well, according to Tucker.
Students also inquired about campus construction plans, including a question as to whether the University bookstore will expand out to the sidewalk of Chestnut Street. According to the administration, there are no definitely plans for this yet.
During the event, Senior Vice President for Student Life and Administrative Services Jim Tucker presented new building plans for the upcoming years; the plans included a new residence hall that begins construction next week, a recreation center, an integrated science building and a potential hotel.
The Hagerty Library is also currently undergoing renovations. Tucker said that next on the agenda in terms of renovations would be Calhoun Residence Hall and Stratton Hall for Arts and Sciences.
Other topics covered included public safety. Domenic Ceccanecchio, senior associate vice president for public safety, addressed questions and concerns about the new police force, noting that the police force will not replace the public safety officers but will "add another layer to raise the bar on safety."
