A 21-year-old man who allegedly shot two people in Yeadon, Pa., April 23 was falsely identified as a Drexel University junior studying computer science, according to University officials and news reports.

The suspect, Tamarr Minor, was arrested after police said he shot a state constable and one other who was attempting to evict him from his Yeadon apartment.

Minor was later arrested in Southwest Philadelphia with a gun used in the shooting, according to police.

Family members told local television reporters Minor was a Drexel student; however, University spokeswoman Niki Gianakaris said he was in fact, not a student and never has been. Other University officials confirmed Minor was not a student or University affiliate.

A search of Drexel's online directory also showed no results.

It was unclear why he was first named as a student and police were unavailable to comment at the time of this writing.

This is unfortunate. It looks like he told his family that and they believed...Boy were they fooled.
