Drexel Crime Report

The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.



April 15, 2008

BURGLARY

4:52 p.m. 3500 Spring Garden St.

A student reported that his apartment was broken into, using a crow bar. DPS and PPD responded to assess the situation and take fingerprints. The student reported that a Nintendo Wii, an X-Box, $400 worth of games, a black suit, and house and car keys were stolen.

April 16, 2008

THEFT FROM BUILDING

2:01 p.m. W. W. Hagerty Library - first floor.

A student reported that his skateboard, valued at $250, was stolen from the first floor of W. W. Hagerty Library. The skateboard was described as a Sector 9, black and blue, with a guy on the face of the board.

April 17, 2008

THEFT FROM BUILDING

1:30 a.m. Kelly Hall

A student reported that his black Compaq HP Presario F500 laptop, worth around $500, was taken from his dorm room. The student stated that at 6:30 p.m. he left the room unlocked and went to the gym. Upon returning at 9:45 p.m., he noticed that the laptop was gone.

THEFT FROM BUILDING

12:42 p.m. Calhoun Hall

A student reported that his black iMac laptop, valued at $1,800, was stolen. The student stated that he went to bed at 10 p.m. on April 16 and woke up at 10 a.m. on April 17. The laptop was stolen at some point during the night. While the student said that only him and his roommate were present in the room during this time, anyone could have come in because the automatic lock on their door is faulty.

BICYCLE THEFT

8:11 p.m. MacAlister Hall Main Entrance Bike Rack

A student reported that his yellow and black Trek mountain bike, valued at $200, was stolen from in front of MacAlister Hall. The student locked his bike around 4:30 p.m. but the bike was missing around 7 p.m.
