THEFT FROM BUILDING
12:30 p.m. Bellet Building, 15th and Race streets
A laptop was reported missing from room 304 of the Bellet Building. The Dell Lattitude D610 laptop was secured to the table and the room was locked at all times. A student recalls seeing the computer on april 11, but the laptop was reported missing on April 17. The laptop lock and classroom doors do not show any signs of being tampered or forced.

THEFT FROM BUILDING
3:10 a.m. 3800 Baring St.
A student reported that her purse was stolen at a party. She stated that the purse contained her room key, Drexel ID, cell phone and a silver Canon SD-450 camera. The student stated she placed the purse on top of the refrigerator when she arrived at 10:30 p.m. It was gone when she checked again at 2:30 a.m.

11:15 a.m. 3500 Powelton-south side
DPS and PPD responded to a vehicle vandalism report. The owner of a silver Mitsubishi Galant informed DPS that her driver side mirror was broken off, but there was no other damage.

While responding to another vandalism complaint, a DPS officer noticed vandalism upon another vehicle. The driver side mirror of a brown Pontiac Grand Prix was broken off, but there was no other damage to the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was not present.

10:27 a.m. 3500 Powelton-south side
A witness reported to DPS that a black male was seen breaking into a Hyundai Elantra and stealing the GPS unit. DPS reviewed CC cameras observing the location and noticed that the same suspect had previously broken into a Chevy Cobalt parked on the same street. Several DPS and PPD units pursued the suspect, who then ran around 35th Street and climbed to the rooftop of a church on 36th and Pearl streets. Police stated that they could not arrest the suspect without an owner of the vehicle present, and the suspect was able to escape. The suspect was last seen climbing into a window at 3604 Pearl St.
