Both the men's and women's crew teams had strong showings at the San Diego Crew Classic April 4 and 5.
The men's varsity eight finished in first in the Petite Final. The Dragons finished third in the preliminary heat behind UCLA and Santa Clara. Their third-place finish allowed the team to compete in the Petite Final where they won with a time of 6:04:30 more than a second better than runner-up San Diego.
The women's varsity eight finished in third place in the Women's Open Division. They placed second in their preliminary heat just behind UCLA before taking third place in the final behind the Bruins and second-place USC.
