The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.


April 1, 2008

LARCENY-THEFT
2:11 p.m. Daskalakis Center-Lower Level Weight Room

A Drexel employee reported a ring missing after working out in the DAC. He proceeded to check the security booth to see if the ring was found, but it was not. The ring is a silver-gray wedding band with a wide strip in the middle.

LARCENY-THEFT
2:53 p.m. 34th Street and Powelton Avenue

A Drexel student approached a Public Safety Officer to see if his lost bike was removed from the porch on Powelton Avenue. The student had left the bike on the porch.

DRUNKENESS
4:13 a.m. 32nd and Summer streets

After clearing out a party, a police officer detained one student after he failed to comply with instructions and proceed on from the area. The student was intoxicated and not cooperative. He attempted to get of his hand restraints when placed in a police car. The student was released later in the evening.

LARCENY-THEFT
2:46 p.m. Dining Hall Main Entrance

A Drexel student reported to DPS his bike was stolen from the rack in front of the dining hall. The bike had last been seen at noon that day. His bike lock had been cut and the bike had been taken.

LARCENY-THEFT
1:12 a.m. 3400 Block Baring St.-South

A Drexel student reported to Public Safety that his bicycle had been vandalized while parked in front of 34th and Baring streets between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Reportedly, one of the wheels of had been stolen.

April 4, 2008

LARCENY-THEFT
6:04 p.m. W.W. Hagerty Library, second floor

A student reported the theft of his black iPod from his book bag while he was at the library. His bag was hanging off the back of his chair when he realized it was gone.
