The following are crimes that occurred on or near campus and were reported to The Triangle by the Drexel University Department of Public Safety. All information included in this report is taken from law enforcement or DPS incident reports.
February 28, 2008
DRUG POLICY VIOLATION
12:41 a.m. Myers Hall
A Myers R/A reported that she smelled marijuana on her floor. DPS responded to the room and the student admitted to smoking marijuana. DPS found other drug paraphernalia, including a large glass bong.
VANDALISM
3:43 a.m. 118 N. 34th St.
DPS noticed a black Acura RSX with a broken back windshield. There was a broken beer bottle next to the back driver's side tire. DPS then covered the windshield.
LARCENY- THEFT
12:59 p.m. 110 N. 34th St.
A Drexel student reported that his red 15 speed mountain bike was stolen and that someone removed his bike from in front of 110 N. 34th St. The bike is valued at $100.
DRUG POLICY VIOLATION
10:11 p.m. Myers Hall
A Myers RA reported an unusual odor in Myers while he was on tour. DPS reported to the room and the students first denied that they were smoking. DPS reminded the students that they had to be cooperative and a student handed over a pipe used for smoking marijuana earlier. Other drug paraphernalia was found in the room.
