Letter to the editor
Issue date: 3/7/08 Section: Ed-Op
Dear Editor,
I would like to congratulate the College Republicans and the Drexel Democrats for registering over 1,000 students during numerous rallies, events and other organizational festivities since October. I have been at Drexel for nine years, and this is by far the greatest number Drexel students ever registered during any previous primary or general election cycle!
I would like to applaud the efforts of Sean Miller, president, and John Lloyd, vice president, Drexel Democrats, and William Mulgrew, Emeritus President, and Ivan Skakun, president, College Republicans, for their leadership and successes in promoting the importance of civic participation, voter registration and participation in the electoral process.
Voter Registration forms will be available throughout the campus (including in our office) beginning March 10, and is available 24/7 on the web site at https://www.pavoterservices.state.pa.us/Pages/VoterRegistrationApplication.aspx .
Voting is a civil right and a civil duty. To vote in the Primary on April 22, you need to register as a Republican or Democrat by March 24 (Independents cannot vote in primaries in Pennsylvania). Don't just sit there - Register!
