The women's lacrosse team improved to 3-1 on the season after beating Villanova.

The women's lacrosse team shutout Villanova in the second half and rolled to a 13-3 win Feb. 27 at Villanova Stadium. The Dragons (3-1) picked up their third road win of the season.

Gwenna Johnson led Drexel with four goals on the offensive end and Lauren LaBella only gave up three goals in over 47 minutes of play.

After Villanova scored a goal to knot the game at one, Drexel made sure to put the game out of reach.

The Dragons scored five straight goals and despite allowing the Wildcats to score two of the next three goals, Villanova didn't score the rest of the match.

LaBella lowered her goals against average to 6.59 and improved her save percentage to .643 on the year. Drexel outshot Villanova 33-15 and had eight more draws (13) than Villanova (5).
