Kim's/Mai's

At Kim's, the vendors directed me to a board next to the front window with a list of their specialties. I chose sweet and sour chicken, which also included fried rice, chicken lo mein, an egg roll and a can of soda for only $4.99, and a side of steamed dumplings for $2.00. At Mai's, the vendor told me that I should try the crispy fried chicken, which was $3.75.
After receiving my food from Kim's, I sat down and looked over my food. The chicken appeared to be over-fried with a sauce that did not look like sweet and sour sauce drizzled on top. There was also broccoli on top of my fried rice with some thick brown sauce poured on top of it all. The egg roll was also over-fried and had a tough consistency. The dumplings, on the other hand, were steamed to perfection and were served with a sweet dumpling sauce.
The food from Mai's appeared to be cooked well, though upon tasting it, the chicken was bland and the rice was over-cooked.
If you are looking for a quick snack, an order of Kim's dumplings would be the best choice. For something more filling, try a different food cart, because Chinese food from a lunch truck will not satisfy your hunger cravings.

Curry Chicken / Curry Tofu (for us vegetarians) from Kim's is absolutely heavenly.
Fried rice or lo mein from Mai's with Mai's special inimitable brown sauce is delectable. (Continued…)
