Truck - Chevy Silverado
Issue date: 2/15/08 Section: Philly Auto Show
If you're in the market for a pickup truck, there is also a myriad of choices. One that consistently stands out is the Chevy Silverado.
The four-wheel drive regular cab style starts around $22,000 for a 4.3-liter V6 engine in the Silverado.
The Toyota Tundra is also a solid choice, but a four-wheel drive model will cost you at least $26,480 for a 4.7-liter V8.
As with most pickup trucks, fuel economy isn't too great.
The Silverado 1500 gets a measly 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway and the V8 in the Tundra is even worse.
Other options include the Ford F-150, Dodge Dakota and Nissan Titan.
