Life in Philadelphia without a car isn't always a bad thing. Public transportation can get you to most places, and worrying about parking near Drexel is a royal pain.
But as soon-to-be graduates get closer to commencement and to scoring a job with a nice, fat paycheck, many will find that it's time to purchase a car that will get them to and from work. For most, a new car will be their most substantial purchase to date.
That's why it is foolish to just buy the first car that you see on a billboard or on TV. It's important to do some research and find a car that truly fits your needs and budget.
Thanks to the Philadelphia International Auto Show that was held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center earlier this month, some students had a chance to see all their choices in one location before making the big purchase.
In case you didn't get a chance to attend the auto show, or simply need some advice, we've compiled reviews of a variety of autos in most major categories.
