Heath Ledger's role in the film 10 Things I Hate About You launched his career.

Actor Heath Ledger, the man portraying the Joker in the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight, was found dead on in his New York City apartment Jan. 22.

The talented actor was 28 years old.

If you flashed through any news broadcast or read any online journalistic site you may have already come across this fact, but I personally was a big fan of Heath Ledger and thought he should be honored in this edition of the Arts & Entertainment section.

I admit this is a bit different from the usual lineup of reviews, but his death will certainly have an impact on the future quality of Hollywood projects.

According to news reports, there were pills in close vicinity of Ledger's body. His current cause of death is being recorded as a possible overdose, but nothing concrete has been confirmed as of yet. Authorities later stated that foul play was not suspected; Ledger's body was unresponsive upon discovery.

The New York Times reported that the apartment where Ledger's body was found is owned by Mary-Kate Olsen, and Ledger was reportedly subletting the space from Olsen.
