Noah Cohen, a senior majoring in communications, has been selected as the new editor in chief of The Triangle upon former EIC Ali Qari's resignation in December.

Cohen, who is The Triangle's former News Editor, said he would continue to raise standards at the newspaper and explore new ways to deliver information to the readers.
"Print is our traditional component," Cohen said.

"I want to look for new and creative ways to reach out to the Drexel community and be more in tune with the readers."
Cohen led The Triangle's creation of blogs, covering the Democratic Presidential Primary Debate as well as the Olympic Table Tennis Trials.

Cohen said he will continue to use the internet to expand The Triangle's reach and provide more immediate news.

Forming partnerships is a priority, according to Cohen. He declined to comment on The Triangle's specific plans, because negotiations were still in progress. However, he said readers should expect to see Triangle reports featured in new formats and available to a wider audience.

Cohen said he has full confidence that his staff has the capability to step up to the new challenges.
"In all honesty, I wouldn't have taken this job if I didn't have the utmost confidence in my staff," Cohen said. "Leadership is about recognizing others' talents and elevating them to get things done. I can't do it all and with this team I don't need to."

As he reflected on his experience at The Triangle thus far, Cohen said covering the October 2007 Democratic Debate was one of his proudest moments.
"On debate day I wasn't writing the story; I was making sure my staff had the resources they needed," Cohen said. "As a leader, you have to enjoy seeing the people around you succeed."

Even with a new corner office and more responsibility, Cohen said he will not stop being a reporter.
"Being street level chasing the news is a rush and there is no way I could spend all day behind a desk," he said.
