After the recent drama on their previous tour with Hawthorne Heights, due to the untimely death of HH guitarist Casey Calvert, the A.K.A.S. were left tourless. After a brief period of mourning, the Philly natives have set plans to return to the road. To prepare for their extensive "All American Massacre Tour" with Wednesday 13 and Creature Feature, The A.K.A.S. have planned a one-off show at The Fillmore at the TLA Jan. 12 with Big D and the Kids Table, to make up a show that was previously cancelled due to inclement weather.
The A.K.A.S. offer a fresh blend of rock and ska roots. They cite an interesting cluster of influences that includes bands such as Stretch Arm Strong, Norma Jean, Less Than Jake, Emmanuel, Emery, and Gatsby's American Dream. The AKA's have also toured in the past with Nashville Pussy, Mindless Self Indulgence, and From Autumn to Ashes. The Philadelphia natives plan to a release their new album, Everybody Make Some Noise on March 18 via Metropolis Records. In the mean time, look for The A.K.A.S. spooky first single off the record, "Dead Flowers Forever…"
