Ah yes, the classic military-based 2.5D real-time strategy game. Red Alert 2 was originally released back in September 28, 2000 and was met with nothing but positive reviews. The game was and still may be regarded as one of the most balanced real-time strategy games to be released, giving no player any unbearable advantage. After a year of its release the game was given an expansion pack that furthered the primary story arc of the single player campaign as well as adding additional features to the already robust multiplayer modes. An active community driven server still hosts competitive ladders and they even heavily guard their server from cheaters allowing for a rather friendly play environment and leaving no reason for gamers of new and old to either pick this game up for the first time or to experience some nostalgia.
