Dr. Jacquelyn West-Ford was remembered by her family, friends, colleagues and students at the memorial service held in the Mandell Theatre Sept. 28.

West-Ford was ===the senior associate dean of students at the University and she passed away recently ("West-Ford, 47, Dies of Cancer", The Triangle, Sept. 20.) due to colon cancer. She is survived by her two sons, Craig, 19, and Steven, 17, and mother, Gladys, 80, brothers Chris, 49, and Alex, 44, and her sister, Joy, 45.

A large number of administrators, students, faculty and staff were present at the ceremony and some of them shared their memories of West-Ford at the gathering.

Dean of Pennoni Honors College Mark Greenberg, Judge Ida Chen of the Drexel Board of Trustees, Dean of Students David Ruth, Associate Vice Provost for International Programs Julie Mostov, Assistant Dean Stephen Rupprecht, Assistant Director of Office of Campus Activities Jessica Grace, members of Residential Living Office and members of the Undergraduate Student Government Association were present, among others.

The service was opened by Pastor Tim Emmett-Rardin, chair of the interfaith council, of which West-Ford had been the director. Emmett-Rardin also shared his memories of West-Ford from his first day at Drexel, when he had arrived to work with her at the Interfaith Council.

"She was gracious, warm and accommodating," Pastor Emmett-Rardin said. "We give witness to the impact she had professionally and personally over 23 years of service at Drexel. Hers was a life well lived."

David Ruth read the obituary at the ceremony, and shared some of his recollections of West-Ford with the audience.

"Jackie viewed her life, her gifts, her possessions and indeed her friends and family, as a series of blessings - communications of God's grace to her," the obituary read. "Her spiritual self is survived by every single person whose life she touched with her generosity and love, her smile and vigor, her passion, and most importantly, her faith."
