MSNBC has announced "NBC Nightly News" anchor Brian Williams will moderate the Democratic presidential primary debate at Drexel University on Oct 30. from 9-11 p.m.
MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines confirmed that the debate will take place in the Main Building on campus and referred questions regarding student tickets to Drexel officials.
"We talked to several universities in Philadelphia and were extremely happy that Drexel had the most appropriate facilities to host the debate," Gaines said in an e-mail.
The debate is one of the six party-approved debates and will include all eight Democratic presidential candidates, according to a report by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The Inquirer reported that Sen. Barack Obama would only participate in the series of six debates.
A source at the Pennsylvania Democratic party said they could not yet confirm the specific candidates and they were working with MSNBC.
A voicemail left for the Democratic National Committee was not returned at the time of this writing.
