Buckley Field, Buckley Green and the DAC also offer facilities where you can play pickup games of basketball, volleyball, soccer, Frisbee and just about anything else you can imagine. Getting a group of your friends to have a weekly game or match is one way to guarantee getting a regular dose of exercise.
Drexel also manages recreational sports leagues for a variety of sports. If you can get a team together, this is yet another opportunity to add exercise to your schedule.
Besides living at Drexel, you're also living in Philadelphia. You can always go for a run or take a jog along the Schuylkill River on Kelly Drive. If you're not into athletics, take a long walk to South Street or Reading Terminal Market - just be sure to take water with you.
If you need additional motivation to keep yourself exercising, consider finding a workout partner. It can be a roommate or a friend, but try to hold one another accountable. It won't work if you both like to sleep in and plan your exercise time at 7 a.m.
Exercising is not only good for you, but it's a great stress reliever. If classes are starting to get to you, throw on some sneakers and go for a run.
So, in between your studying and partying, make room for healthy eating and exercise. You'll be happy when you realize that you successfully warded off the Freshmen 15.
