The versatile and animated DAC Pack once again proved why it is one of the elite organizations on campus - by doing what it does best.
Just a few months after agreeing to a partnership with USGA, the DAC Pack has found yet another resourceful group to help raise school spirit and bring students closer together.
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) agreed to a partnership with "the Pack," lasting until Commencement in June, in hopes of bolstering Drexel pride and encouraging more student collaboration.
"We have a lot of the same ideas in what we want to achieve," said Nicole Martino, the President of Campus Activities Board. "We might have more knowledge in the means of planning an event, but they have a great understanding of what they want to see from the students and what the students want. I want to see more students involved in the school spirit aspect and have more pride for Drexel."
The DAC Pack and CAB will help promote each other's organization and will collectively work on Spring Jam, Friday Night Flicks and events prior to athletic games.
"It's not about individual organizations, but Drexel as a whole," DAC Pack President Rob Falcone said. "We each have something different to offer the University. CAB gives students the opportunity to become engaged socially, USGA gives students the opportunity to become a leader on campus and the DAC Pack gives students the opportunity to show their school spirit and pride."
David Saladoff, the Director of Marketing for CAB said that one of the biggest problems his organization has faced was that students were not happy with many of the events that it has planned in the past.
"Our motto for this year is 'Curing Boredom,'" said Saladoff. "We thought this would open new horizons for us and we thought the DAC Pack could help us with this problem. The DAC Pack could help show the student body that we do care about getting their input."
CAB's "Curing Boredom" motto has already begun to take effect, especially with some of the large events it is co-sponsoring.
