Jeff Gardosh, the USGA president, promised to help develop a more visible organization among University students. He said that by working with the DAC Pack, he thinks he will be able to meet these goals.

"USGA has been lacking in publicity and visibility, but those were my primary goals to accomplish," Gardosh said. "If we are going to represent the students, we need them to know who we are. A majority of the students are involved with the DAC Pack; it's a good place for us to meet the students."

As a result of the partnership, the two groups will give away several items, outside of DAC Pack shirts and USGA's "Tees for threes," to the people sitting in the student section. All DAC Pack newsletters will also include the USGA logo on it. Additionally, the DAC Pack's new site will have a link to USGA's homepage.

The DAC Pack and USGA have many event ideas that should grab students' attention if promoted properly.

One of the events they are hoping to organize is the hosting of a qualifying Wing Bowl tournament, in which the winner would go to the WIP Wing Bowl in Philadelphia.

They are also in the midst of planning a "Welcome Back" barbecue toward the end of September. They look to show a game on a large screen during orientation, while freshmen will be able to sign up for their free DAC Pack t-shirts.

One of the most anticipated events for the upcoming year is Midnight Madness. Falcone and Gardosh said that there are many "surprises" in store for this year's events, but students will have to wait until closer to the actual date to find out what it entails.

Falcone said that the DAC Pack will be using its resources to help promote The Bubble House as an "upscale, yet inexpensive place for Drexel basketball fans to enjoy a meal before or after a game."

Gardosh hopes that this joint venture will help improve Drexel's overall spirit.

"It's about supporting school spirit and supporting Drexel," the USGA president said. "By working together, we can combine our resources and efforts to produce events and activities that we couldn't do single handedly.

Falcone said he remembers when the DAC Pack was not well known on Drexel's campus, but because of student involvement, it grew into a respectable organization. He empathizes with the USGA.

"USGA is sitting where the DAC Pack was three or four years ago," Falcone said. "It's a great organization, but it's lacking visibility. I have a lot of confidence that USGA will garner the visibility and they will ultimately gain the recognition that they deserve."

I love how Jeff Gardosh is quoted in the 7th and 8th paragraphs but is identified in the 13th.

"Financial terms of the contract are not available for public release"!?!?!?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me??? You're student groups funded by tuition dollars. (Continued…)
