Having served as Ed-Op Editor for two years, I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our readers as the fourth Public Editor of The Triangle.

This position is equivalent to an ombudsman. Any member of the Drexel community with a legitimate complaint regarding the newspaper's quality or function may contact me. This includes students, faculty, staff members and administrators. All senders will have their names and personal information kept private. Only the message of the complaint may become public if it is serious enough.

This position exists to earn the confidence of our readers, but it is contingent on reader feedback. My responsibility is to you. If this newspaper or staff has wronged you personally or lapsed in quality, I am your advocate. I will carefully listen to your issue and ensure that you receive a timely and fair investigation, as well as necessary corrective action.

Finally, the Editor in Chief or a member of the Editorial Board may refer a complaint to me if investigating it themselves would constitute a conflict of interest.

As Public Editor I hope to bridge the gap between readers and The Triangle, resulting in a higher quality publication for the entire University community to enjoy.
