120th Commencement ceremonies host more than 4,000

"This is an outstanding graduating class," Board of Trustees Chairman Joseph Jacovini said in a speech. You have made a major investment in this University and it will pay dividends to you long into the future. We pledge to make sure that your degree continues to grow in stature just as you will do in your future careers."
The ceremonies were divided by college with different speakers for each.
Walter D' Alessio, vice chairman of real estate banking firm NorthMarq Capital, spoke at the LeBow College of Business ceremony.
Edmund D. Bossone, a retired engineer from the Philadelphia Electric Company, and Charles Isdell, director of aviation in Philadelphia, spoke at the ceremony for College of Engineering, School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems and School of Education. Donna E. Shalala, who the longest serving U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services, according to a Drexel press release, spoke at the ceremony for College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Professions, and School of Public Health. Finally, Solomon 'Kal' Rudman, who is the founder and publisher of six radio and music industry publications, including Friday Morning Quarterback, spoke at the last ceremony of the day for graduates of Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, College of Information Science and Technology, and Goodwin College of Professional Studies.
