Shortly after the release of Rival Factions, Project 86 plans to release a DVD filled with "antic footage, shot of the band, whether it's writing the record or traveling, interviews, photos, and live videos," according to Schwab. The DVD is in the process of being created by Schwab himself. The singer insists, "It's definitely something that people will get their money's worth out of." This DVD is not the first thing that the band has created on its own. In fact, the front man tells that their record label, Tooth and Nail, is very much a do-it-yourself type record label and constantly puts the band in situations where they are at liberty to start projects on their own. Schwab says, "It seems the way the industry is going today is that you can only be successful if you promote your own band… I think Tooth and Nail does what they do very well." As for doing it yourself, Project 86 has done it themselves for a while now, whether it is through Tooth and Nail or whatever label the band is working with at the time.

After a decade of work in the music industry, Schwab has as much experience with doing-it-yourself and working with record labels as any industry professional. "There's so many things, man," says Schwab. "It's just a lot less glamorous and a lot more difficult to make a living playing music. You have to be a bit savvier than everyone else to pull it off. It's just a huge competition for public attention. That's all it is." The singer is proud of what he and his band have accomplished in the years that they have spent together. "We learned how to make the music that we love in such a way that people have naturally gravitated towards our band, which is why we're still together." Schwab is firm in believing that his band "pushes the envelope musically and creatively on every new record." He asserts, "people know us as a band that's going to do something different every time around - that's why our fans stick with us." With this much confidence, it is no wonder that the singer is thrilled to release Rival Factions. Factions hits stores on June 19 through Tooth and Nail Records.
